Your guide will lead you through the barrio of Barceloneta or “Little Barcelona” as you learn about how this neighborhood evolved over the years from its humble beginnings as a fisherman’s village to one of the biggest food hubs in all of Catalonia.
Next, we’ll step into Bitacora, where it feels like summer at the sea even in winter. Here, you’ll chow down on the famous patatas bravas and Spanish croquettes.
Our next stop is local favorite JaiCa. For over 60 years, this bar has been serving top quality tapas to the people of Barcelona. We’ll get to try some local fried seafood as well as the world famous tortilla de patatas — a Spanish omelet with potato and onion, sure to make the mouth water. While here, we’ll even try the mythical padrón peppers. Legend has it that one in 10 is spicy enough to kill!
Finally, we’ll step into Palomino. This restaurant is home to the true Barceloneta spirit. While chowing down cuttlefish and a codfish doughnut, you’ll be surrounded by photographs of this picturesque neighborhood from days gone by.
