Girona and Dalì Museum

Overview

Check in at our office in central Barcelona at least 15 minutes before your tour departure time. Climb aboard an air-conditioned coach. Sit back and relax on the journey to Girona. After a 1.5-hour drive along the highway, you will arrive in the city.

Upon arrival, follow your guide on a 2-hour walking tour of the city center. Discover the historic center and learn about some of the myths and legends associated with the city. Learn about the Roman origins of this picturesque city and see part of the ancient walls. Stroll the cobblestone streets of its historic center and marvel at the details of its buildings.

After the guided tour, you will have an hour of free time to explore the city at your own pace and have lunch. Meet your guide and head to this wonderful city where the Dalí Theatre-Museum is located.

Upon arrival in Figueres, you will enter the Dalí Museum, the building that now houses the collection, a reconstruction of the original, since the first one was burned down during the Spanish Civil War. Enter the museum and marvel at the extensive collection of the artist’s works. Observe the artist’s artistic evolution over the years and admire some of his most important works. The museum is a perfect representation of the great historical-artistic value of his work.

After the tour of the museum, we will take the bus back to Barcelona. We will end the tour at the same place where we began.
