Overview
This tour will give you the chance to explore the ancient city of Pompeii, which was submerged by lava and ash after the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. However, most of the streets, villas or everyday objects, as well as food products, have been found and kept in an excellent state of preservation.
Pickup will take only 30 minutes to reach Pompeii from Naples. Our archaeological guide will welcome you at the parking lot and will help you with the purchase of your ticket, thanks to the skip-the-line service.
Once you enter the most famous archaeological site in the world, you will discover the most interesting information about Pompeii and admire the most important places such as the thermal baths, the Basilica as well as the frescoes of the Lupanar and much more. During the visit, you will also stop at the Macellum. Its “tabernae”, famous shops located in the commercial streets, will take you back in time. Last but not least, you will visit the House of the Faun, a famous villa whose name derives from the type of statue that was found.
You will have the opportunity to take several photos during short stops.
Only In case of ongoing maintenance work on some villas or buildings to be restored, our tour guide will replace them with an alternative building.
